Nick Perren was Managing Director of the independently-owned John Murray Publishers for a number of years until leading the sale of the company in 2002. He has also held non-executive positions with a number of other publishing companies and is currently Chairman of both Laurence King Publishing and Profile Books in the UK and is a Director of Il Saggiatore in Italy. He has served on the Publishers Association Council as the UK PA Representative to the Federation of European Publishers and the International Publishers Association. He is also Chairman of William Reed Holdings Ltd.

Debbie Gill has worked in publishing since joining Victor Gollancz in 1970. Subsequently she has been at Sidgwick & Jackson and from 1991 to 2002 at John Murray Publishers. Among her skills, she has experience of export sales administration and many years experience of editorial work of all kinds particularly copy-editing and proof-reading.
