Maia Publishing Services offers a range of publishing business consultancy services, focussed particularly on the needs of smaller and medium-sized book publishing companies and those with a committment to export, while occasionally undertaking specific tasks for larger firms on a one-off basis.

Recent assignments have included advising on UK market entry; advising on selected overseas markets entry; investigating and implementing multi-market ELT co-publishing and licensing arrangements; assisting in pre-acquisition enquiries; advice on UK distribution units as well as specific advice on both trade and educational markets outside the UK.

In addition, Maia is sometimes able to provide introductions to appropriately-skilled consultants working in specialised areas.

Maia also maintains long-term relationships with companies as diverse as Laurence King Publishing and Profile Books in the UK, and Il Saggiatore Group in Italy.
